 | License Plate Info:1943 North Dakota license plate - ND 1943Very unique and rare 1943 North Dakota license plate. Only new registers received the 43 plate due to metal rationing for WWII. Previous years registers were required to place a sticker on their windshield with the 42 plate. What this plate lacks in color, it makes up for with a cool imperfection I have never seen before. You can see on the left side of the plate the year 1942, upside down behind the ND. It goes to show how they did whatever they could to follow the demands of the war, yet produce plates for the new registers. The only ND plates produced in smaller volume are the first issue 1911, and 1912.
